Zilliant is looking for a proactive Data Base Administrator to join our Data Architecture team.  As a DBA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of our databases. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring database activity, optimizing queries, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in database design and implementation. You'll collaborate closely with our engineering and solutions teams to support implementations and company initiatives. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • SQL performance tuning, data modeling and user security profiles to ensure that Zilliant applications are performant and secure 
  • Ensure connectivity with middleware and applications within Zilliant and customer endpoints 
  • Establish and continually improve DB company standards to ensure uptime and performance standards. 
  • Use monitoring tools to ensure performance stays within SLA and proactively remediate any performance bottlenecks  
  • Analyze data requirements, application architectures and database schemas and develops next-gen designs to improve upon scalability, uptime, performance and cost  
  • Work with Zilliant application developers, Solutions engineers and end-users to ensure data flow meets business and customer needs

What You’ll Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or similar 
  • Minimum five years of professional experience as a SQL Server Application DBA with MS SQL Server 
  • Strong knowledge of database design principles in environment with billions+ rows of data 
  • Highly competent in SQL database performance tuning, including indexing strategies, performance monitoring and query optimization 
  • Expose to PostgreSQL and AWS technologies a strong plus
